John is a native of Illinois and moved to the Valley of the Sun in his 20s. John has over 25 years experience in the painting and decorating industry, he has risen to any challenge. John is a past President of the Arizona Council of Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (2014-2016). John's business philosophy is to surround yourself with people who can be trusted and help you grow your business and in the end, your customers are satisfied and your employees are loyal.

Lori moved from Vancouver, Canada to Nashville, Tennessee in 2000. In 2006, she moved to Anchorage, Alaska for a short time and ended up in Phoenix later that year. She became a US citizen in 2009 and now holds dual citizenship with Canada and the US. She has worked in the medical field for the past 26 years as an Xray Technologist and, for the past 7 years, a Radiation Therapist. She now works as the Office Assistant.

Lori and her husband John enjoy traveling and spending time with their family and friends.

With over 30 years of experience as a software developer, I am also an FAA Certified Drone Pilot and Photographer, with 15 years of expertise in Online Marketing. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and five kids, and love camping, hiking, and golfing with family and friends.

Originally from a small town in North Carolina, Kimberly Jade Laws brings a warm, welcoming spirit and a strong work ethic to her role as Office Assistant at PHP Painting. With over five years of experience in customer service and more than two years in B2B sales, she plays a key part in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly while ensuring every client interaction is handled with professionalism and care.

Though new to the painting industry, Kimberly has a working knowledge of construction and a sharp eye for detail. Since relocating to Phoenix in early 2012, she has become passionate about supporting quality-driven businesses that make a difference in the local community.

Outside of work, Kimberly is a proud mother of two adult children and recently became a first-time grandmother — a role that brings her tremendous joy and motivation.

Chasity Choate is an experienced IT and Data Entry specialist at PHP Painting in Phoenix, AZ, with a proven background in business process analysis, data management, and technical support. Chasity brings hands-on expertise in optimizing business processes, managing and reporting on complex data sets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and efficient solutions. With advanced skills in Excel, SQL, CRM systems, and web development, Chasity ensures the seamless integration and management of PHP Painting’s digital infrastructure. Committed to continuous improvement and customer-focused service, Chasity leverages technical proficiency and analytical problem-solving to support both internal operations and client needs.

Born in Portland, Oregon in 1981, I spent my early years moving across several states, experiences that helped shape my adaptability, work ethic, and ability to thrive in new environments. After relocating to Colorado Springs during my early childhood, I later moved to Indiana where I spent much of my youth living a country lifestyle from third through seventh grade. Those years helped build a strong foundation of self-reliance, discipline, and appreciation for hard work.

My professional journey began at a young age in Muncie, Indiana, where I started working alongside my father in historic home restoration. That early exposure to hands-on craftsmanship quickly evolved into a diverse and well-rounded skill set. Over the years, I gained experience across a wide range of trades including landscaping and hardscaping, irrigation, commercial and residential glazing, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting. This broad background not only sharpened my technical abilities, but also gave me a deep understanding of how all phases of construction come together to create a successful project.

In 2010, I relocated to Arizona and continued working with my father in multifamily maintenance. During this time, I expanded into custom glass work, specializing in high-end installations such as shower enclosures, wine cellars, mirrors, and other detailed glass applications. I later transitioned into subcontracting, where I performed primarily painting and make-ready tasks, further strengthening my understanding of project turnaround demands, quality control, and efficiency.

Through years of consistent growth and field experience, I advanced into construction management and operations, where I now apply both leadership and technical expertise to oversee projects, teams, schedules, and performance outcomes. My career path has been built on hands-on experience, versatility, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship and accountability.

Outside of my professional life, I have a deep passion for MMA, tattoos, cooking and baking, firearms, gaming, art, and film. Above all, music has always been at the center of who I am. My love for music started at a young age through singing and dancing, listening to everything from pop and classic rock to hip hop and country. Around third grade, I discovered metal music, and it immediately became a defining part of my life. In my late teens, I taught myself guitar and went on to play in several bands over the years. I am currently part of a metal band called “Within A Relapse”. We have released two singles in the last several months, where I originally served as the vocalist, but have since transitioned into playing guitar and providing backing vocals.

Metal music remains my greatest creative outlet, allowing me to express emotion with honesty and intensity in a way no other genre can match. It continues to fuel my drive, focus, and passion both personally and professionally, and it will always be a permanent part of my life and who I am.

With over 15 years of experience in the painting industry, Derrick Burns brings seasoned expertise and a sharp eye for detail to every project. As a senior estimator at PHP Commercial Painting for the past year, Derrick has delivered over $10 million in successful bids, helping secure high-value commercial and industrial projects across the region.

Born and raised in the Arizona Valley, Derrick understands the local landscape and construction environment like few others. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active with sports, exploring new destinations through travel, catching live concerts, and spending quality time with his family—including his son, who keeps him grounded and motivated.

Hello, I'm John. I've been employed at PHP Painting since September 2022, a role I take immense pride in. In my spare time, I love working on cars, fishing, and camping - simple pleasures that satisfy my passion for mechanics, nature, and tranquility. My world is made even richer by my two wonderful daughters, aged 8 and 9, whom I cherish deeply. For me, life is about finding balance between my work, my hobbies, and my family - creating a blend of city life and outdoor escapades, complexity and simplicity.

I'm Joseph McCafferty, originally from Lake Havasu City, Arizona. My early career was filled with various physically demanding jobs, which laid the foundation for my strong work ethic. It was with the PHP family that I discovered my true calling. Being a part of this company has opened my eyes to endless possibilities, making me believe that there are no limits in any aspect of life.

Barry, a seasoned commercial painter from Phoenix, Arizona, brings nearly four decades of experience to the industry. Known for his unwavering integrity, honesty, and commitment to getting things right the first time, Barry’s meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality have earned him a trusted reputation. As a Phoenix native, he takes great pride in enhancing the beauty and upkeep of his community, consistently striving to exceed client expectations with every project he undertakes.

Mike Nightingale brings a wealth of experience to the painting industry, having spent much of his life immersed in construction. Over the past three years, he has honed his expertise in painting and advanced into the estimating department at PHP Commercial Painting. Additionally, as director of a halfway house and a valued community partner with New Freedom Outpatient Program, Mike demonstrates exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to supporting others beyond the workplace.

A dedicated father to his 16-year-old son, Mike balances his professional growth with family life, making him a versatile and highly valued member of the team.

Cody Diets-Conley is an Arizona native with seven years of hands-on experience in both commercial and residential painting. Recently promoted to Estimator in October, he brings field expertise and a keen eye for detail to deliver precise bids and exceptional results.

Outside of work, Cody enjoys staying active, spending time with his wife and three beautiful children, and making the most of family life in the Valley of the Sun.

Amber Carter is the Estimating Coordinator at PHP Painting, bringing over two years of experience in the painting industry to the team. She supports the estimating department with accurate takeoffs, organized bid tracking, and clear communication so projects can move smoothly from proposal to production. Since joining PHP in early 2025, Amber has helped streamline proposal preparation and is known for her strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to delivering dependable support for both our team and our clients.

Chad, born in Oklahoma, is known for his keen eye for detail and strong work ethic. A dedicated professional in the painting industry for over three years, he began as a crew member and worked his way up to Safety Coordinator. He holds an OSHA 10 certification and is currently pursuing his OSHA 30, continually striving to grow and improve. Chad is a reliable, diligent team member who isn’t afraid to acknowledge mistakes and learn from them. Outside of work, he enjoys shopping, spending time with animals, and being with his family. His people skills, commitment to progress, and love for those around him make him an exceptional asset to any team.

Hello, I'm Larry. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Compton, I've honed my skills in construction for 20 years, from framing to stucco. Joining PHP Painting marked a high point in my career, offering a blend of family, employment, and mentorship like no other. Away from work, I enjoy family time, working out, traveling, and peaceful walks, but I truly relish my alone time for reflection and rejuvenation. I'm a dedicated worker who loves his job, values family, and strives for balance in life.

I bring a “get it done” mentality to every jobsite I oversee. For me, it’s about more than just painting—it’s about integrity, leadership, and delivering a top-tier result every time. Over the past year at PHP, I’ve had the opportunity to manage a variety of commercial projects, from large-scale repaints to detailed tenant improvements, always ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to our clients’ highest standards.

I’m a proud dad of three—my daughter and two boys—and they are my ultimate “why.” When I’m not on the clock, I’m all about the outdoors, BMX, and keeping a positive vibe through good music and laughter. I’ve learned that life is all about how you handle the ride, and I bring that same energy and focus to every project I take on.

Fred Santor, a valued employee at PHP Commercial Painting, was born in California and raised in Arizona. As a dedicated father and proud grandfather of seven, Fred brings a strong sense of family and commitment to his work. His warm personality and dedication make him a cherished member of the team.

My name is Joel Kruczek, a native of Alamogordo, New Mexico. In 2021, I made a move to Arizona to embrace new opportunities. My academic background is in automotive studies, reflecting my deep interest in vehicle mechanics. I'm an avid motorcycle enthusiast and relish spending time outdoors. Currently, I reside in Tempe with my beloved wife and our energetic two-year-old son, where we enjoy our family life.
